The first meeting of June2013 and a safe nights racing at the Rolling Thunder Show – Arena Essex.
About 11 mini sprints on the track which is a quiet night – however, it was entertaining and enjoyable. In race 1 Albert went into the middle off the start as he had bent his steering rod arm in the practice and we hadn’t noticed (we really are HOPELESS!) So – he couldn’t steer – so Albert sat in the middle and watched the race!
Thanks go AGAIN to Dean Searle (Callum 252) who helped us get Albert’s kart sorted as uncle Jason was racing in the Euro rods.
Race 2 and 3 Albert started amongst the red tops and finished around the middle of the pack.
In the final Albert started at the front of the red tops and as there was not too much traffic in front he charged round and led right to the end winning the final.
Another Argos voucher – trophy and HUGE bar of chocolate! One happy boy – he had also played football in Bromley in the morning for the Arsenal U7’s development squad and they won and drew their 2 matches – A good day in all for Albert.
See you in a few weeks . . .
